With winter well and truly here, we thought it was about time we introduced you to our wonderful Winter Seasonal flavours. Honey Roast Ham & Cranberry and Ale & Cheese are both available between October ‘09 and March ‘10 in 40g and 150g bags.  Some of the local Herefordshire newsletter subscribers might recognise the two chaps on the front of the Ale & Cheese pack – Vernon and Peter Amor, owners of the Wye Valley Brewery. We use their CAMRA award winning Dorothy Goodbody Ale in the flavour, so we thought it would be nice to honour them in the photo!

Great Britishness celebrated
Our new ‘What puts the Great in Great Britain for you’ campaign has sent ripples of excitement through the independent retail trade across the country. We launched three ‘Great British’ flavours in September; Beef Wellington, Welsh Rarebit and Pork & Bramley Apple’.  Thank you for buying, trying and sending in your wonderful definitions of ‘Great Britishness’.

With wonderful ‘Great British’ prizes to be won each month, all you need to do to enter is send in your definition of ‘What puts the GREAT in Great Britain’. You can enter either by postcard (available from participating independent retailers) or online at www.tyrrellspotatochips.co.uk Our favourite four entries from the November crop will each receive a luxury Christmas hamper worth £200 from the Ludlow Food Company.

Tyrrelling at the BBC Good Food Show
We’ll be Tyrrelling with some of Britain’s best food and drink suppliers at the BBC Good Food Shows this month. Come and see us at BBC Good Food London (Earls Court) 13-15th November or BBC Good Food Birmingham (NEC) 25 – 29th November. We’ll have some great offers on our chips and dips to help you stock up on your favourite snacks for Christmas.

THE calendar to have up on your wall…..
We’ll be producing a smart Tyrrells calendar this year featuring all our new products, events, tips for growing potatoes and many other interesting bits and bobs. We’d really like to open the calendar with a poem about Tyrrells – can you help us out? All we need is a simple verse that sets the tone for the year (no rudeness or swearing please!). The first thirty responses will receive a copy of the calendar and a mixed box of Tyrrells Potato Chips for Christmas.
